My first Wrexham game was the following October but most of this team were still there.

Taken as a birthday treat.

Wrexham vs Port Vale ended in a 1-1 draw.

What really surprised me though was the fact there were nearly 20,000 at that game. As a 10 year old I do recall there were a lot of people but I never dreamed it was that big a crowd. Was hooked immediately.

Thankfully, with the help of the WST and their pals on the current board, I am now managing to break the habit.

Shame really, as it used to be fun.

I wasn't allowed to attend Vale games at that time. Told it was too rough. 1000's of Vale fans used to descend on the Racecourse taking over the entire kop as I recall?
