We just continue sinking to new lows. Under WST 'leadership' expect us to be playing at the Queensway soon in the WPL.

Spot on this, surely there is a deal to be done with the Welsh FA with them now using the Racecourse more.

I can fully understand people wanting to cling onto the heritage of the Racecourse, but there's no such sentimentality with a training ground (now that Colliers has gone and it's never coming back). We should be sourcing some cheap land on the outskirts big enough for our current and future needs.
That's the way we need to go. Not necessarily cheap land as much as the best available land and location.
The land costs would be relatively small compared to the overall development costs.
Unless the WAG, FAW and Council are on board it's a non starter anyway.

We might be getting out of this hell hole this season.

The fact I live near the training field we use and rarely see anyone there. Out of interest do you know how often/ long they train?

Normally 3 or 4 times a week They will have been using Druids and Colliers on the 3 / 4 g pitches in preparation for Bromley.
9 acre is almost unplayable after the rain we've had.

I walk my dog nearby and I have never seen them training there 3 to 4 days a week even in good weather. it's more like once or twice if you are lucky

That's interesting, scope for going back maybe.

I think they've been using Carden too, prior to Christmas at least.

This is actually an important point. Was speaking to a fellow Red yesterday, about Monday night's meeting, and in particular the rather ambiguous scheme at the Groves. We were both in agreement, that it would be very interesting to know whether any attempt was made to get back to Collier's when the FAW bought it, and if so, what exactly was said. You would have thought, on the face of it, that the FAW might well have been open to us using the place, for a sensible fee, given that we built the feckin' place.

Apologies if it's been explained here previously, but I don't remember it being so.
