No mandate yet to seek 'investment' - could be discussion what stake would have what price
Jones says there is no mandate in place for the board to look for potential new owners or financiers, and what stake in the club that WST members are willing to give up to investors is something that needs to be discussed and agreed at the AGM. "There has never been a mandate to seek investment," said Jones. "There are no assets to invest in but if someone was interested in investing in the club, how much ownership would members be willing to give up and at what price? "That is a question that people need to ask themselves." Pete clear on everything is for members to make decisions on. It is an interesting point, would people really give up say 49% for a one off hit of £500k or £2.5m ?! |

Who decides what needs a mandate from members or not?
Pete is a liar, its obvious they don't want any investment and he's said as much previously. Just grow a set and tell the truth ffs. Treating fans like idiots. |

They've proved that even if there was a mandate they will just ignore it if they dont like it. He hides behind this ruke only when it suits.

Re: No mandate yet to seek 'investment' - could be discussion what stake would have what price
I don't believe it's all about money. There are many examples of Clubs with very little financial backing being successful - it's all down to getting the right management and players, something we have clearly failed to do.
Simply compare our support to Clubs in Division 2 and even Division 1 - remembering that for a number of seasons we have been very poor in terms of success and entertainment. If we could get a manager who really inspires his team then our crowds will increase and the better players will follow. Okay it can't be that simple - or maybe it is. |

In which case we are looking at the end of the Trust and back to private ownership . This club nearly went under after private ownership and for as long as I am a member of the Trust I will vote against it. Also ask yourself how social media would treat an investor when things go wrong. Just like they treat the players, staff and Board(s) at present. You would be on a hiding to nothing with control or no control.
