Imagine still fannying around in that, although it suites Fylde with no respect they're a tinpot no soul non league outfit

They won the Trophy last season and also reached the play off final, their implosion this season exceeds ours.

I agree with that result - Ebbsfleet are picking up some decent points but still 6 behind us whilst Maidenhead are the polar opposite and dropping like a stone - along with Eastleigh.

Would be no surprise if both us and Chesterfield escape but need to beware Ebbsfleet - even if Fylde have an absolute amazing turn of form and start winning their games in hand they will still be behind us - I know where I would rather us be - points on the board and clearly in sight of Sutton United and Torquay United.

This league is crazy this season. One or two wins takes you from relegation fodder to play off contenders. I’m not for one second suggesting that we will get in to the play offs, but two wins from now, results going strangely above and we are on the outskirts of the play offs, as opposed to points from relegation. This season everyone south of 7th is in the mix for relegation. It’s insane.

Ex Lincoln City striker Matt Rhead came on as a 56th minute sub for his new club Boreham Wood at Aldershot last night.

I agree. the more teams behind us the better, even if the pack are closer overall.

As for ebbsfleet. We have a six point lead on them. If we can't stay ahead of them over the next 11 games, we deserve to go down.

Fylde sacked their manager and now the dark horse's for the play offs Hartlepool are doing well after giving him the job, he allegedly turned us down because of money. So we went for a top manager in Hughes.

And the replacement at moneybags AFC Fylde is experienced Jim Bentley who spent many years at Morecambe - not set the world alight has he ?
So what makes a successful manager ? a combination of things I would imagine - a supportive Chairman, experience helps and perhaps good relationships with your playing staff - that's why I think Connahs Quay Nomads are doing so well in Andy Morrison who has transformed them - he never stops urging them on from the pitch side and they all look like they would run through brick walls from him - a joy to see.
