LOL. Barrow has spent his career mostly at League clubs (Wigan, Rochdale, Bury)

Darlington was at a WPL club who slept walked to the title every season, is a teacher for the FAW, then came here where he's never improved one single player. In fact a lot of players we sign leave here broken and he's in charge of coaching and training sessions etc if we are to believe what came out of the Q&A.
EDIT, here they are:
- Football Networking
- Type of football we play
- Evaluating and watching players
- Identification and due diligence on player targets
- Team selection and tactics
- Post match review and analysis
- Organising training sessions
- Leading training sessions
- Player fitness & Strengthening
- Teamwork development & motivation
- Opposition scouting and analysis

So I think I'll go with the facts, the careers and history rather than what you tell us. Being a qualified coach yourself means absolutely nothing in this respect by the way. Stick to the facts.

If something as sizemic as hitting rock bottom of the National League doesn't bring any recriminations from the Board... Its hard to know what will...
Don't expect changes any time soon..

There's doing drills/sessions for the sake of it and there's doing drills/sessions to improve aspects of team performance. I think we all know what happens here.

Well I'm no coach , just an ordinary fan who's watched Wrexham for fifty plus years through good and bad. The recent seasons tactics and style of play have been probably the worst I've had to endure, will we ever know who's responsible?

Thanks for the reply TWREX Like you I am as frustrated as hell about how long we have been in this hell hole of a league. I have done a number of coaching courses over the years with the Welsh FA. I have always found them to be very good. I am grateful to hear from someone who has obviously done courses and has watched CD work. My good experience of the Welsh FA coaching set up makes it very hard for me to believe that CD has nothing good to offer us.

.

That’s exactly what I saw Dixie.

Barrows was something that beginner U7s coaches do. Striker outside of the box starts with the ball. Feeds it to player just inside the box. They lay it back to striker. Striker shoots. Anyone who has kicked a ball has done that drill. He is a dinosaur or just lazy.

Shouldn’t be doing that session with that level of player. People moan about how long we train. 9 acre is empty etc. But then he does that for a third of a training session. Most of the players are stood round waiting for their turn so poor intensity and increased potential for injury. And not technically challenging.

Darlingtons was like watching a master class in coaching. Which we should be proud of, he is one of our own. The Welsh FA coaching is held in high regard, that is a fact. I can see why.

Hard to explain in text but every player was engaged. They were all involved. They all worked. And the outcomes were clear.

Full back feeds winger. Full back bombs on. Feeds winger. Winger passes to full back. Full back switches play to other full back. Then repeat down the other wing. It was mind blowing. 16 players doing that

And he gets blamed for negative play? It was an ultra attacking drill

The question is, would Darlington produce better results under a better manager than the tactically naive Keates? We don't really know but we did play well and look well coach d under Ricketts but that was just 6 months so such a small sample.

For me, what is beyond doubt is that Keates is tactically a very poor manager

One thing about Darlington when we were struggling in the league under Wilkin and he was sacked after the Trophy collapse, Darlington took over temporarily until end of season.

We moved up the table played more proper than football and end of the season we were 3rd in the form table..

Those are facts you can research yourselves, it's to simplistic to just blame him for what's wrong, I think the problem is because we won't pay to attract better managerial candidates we are ending up with Rookies learning the ropes at our expense. We should be trying to get the best candidate for our level, but yes no guarantees of success whoever is manager.
