Weather on Saturday at Yeovil
Whatever, it will be another very wet and windy game if it goes ahead, and hopefully with our ball playing midfield we can keep the ball on the ground. |

Re: Weather on Saturday at Yeovil
With those wind speeds as per the forecast no midfield in the world will be able to keep the ball on the floor or on the pitch.
I was at the Deeside Stadium last Friday for Nomads v TNS - never, ever in my life been at a game in such strong winds and it made a nonsense of the contest bordering on the farcical bordering on the dangerous to continue - when steel crowd control barriers and chairs are getting flipped around standing spectators you have to question the validity of proceeding. Advertising boards, roof panels - only needs one to fly off and land in the crowds and the consequences would be considerable. I recall attending Anfield many years ago to see Liverpool play Derby County - the game got called off for no other reason than extreme high winds. Also would think that the powers that be will take into consideration supporters travel arrangements - may well go the same way as the Torquay fixture based on that forecast. Perhaps an early call tomorrow might be made. |

Re: Weather on Saturday at Yeovil
Looking through Yeovil FC twitter there was a call for volunteers to assist in putting down pitch covers at 1.00 pm Wednesday - Friday should see torrential rain across the region.
It would really be a good time to play them in their current run of poor form - remember their star goalscoring striker who got a hatrick for them in the reverse 3 - 3 fixture at the Racecourse ? one Rhys Murphy (9) is definitely ruled out with injury - probably for the rest of the season. |
