Like krux said the time to enjoy this is when they announce its definitely happening and give us the details like when its going to be built.
Enjoy the money being pumped into the town centre, where a number of new bars have opened up and empty spaces are beginning to fill up again. That comment was more or less to do with the upcoming transformation of the town centre rather than the Kop project.

Odds on that the club will be making a bid to the Football Stadia Improvement Fund for this. Makes me wonder (realise) now why the second platform hasn't materialised yet; they wouldn't have wanted to use up any share of the FSIF over a new kop.

They'd used up their entire allowance and only became eligible for more sometime this season. Though when we discussed the DSA plans for platform 2 and how we'd need to use FSIF funding they never mentioned that it couldn't be done....

I believe new submissions for funding are being prepared or perhaps already submitted. It's a rolling maximum of £400K over a five year period.

I am I think probably one of the biggest criticisers of the Boards football experience (none) and their approach to "the football part of the business".

That said I think this is really great work and those board and trust members who have no doubt worked very hard to look to increase capacity for when we do need it, work with local and national partners to facilitate a workable route forward to redevelop.

You can feel the disappointment with many detractors. Club announces a fantastic opportunity and they can only whine. Some of them do just hate the club I'm sure and actively hope it fails.... Unlucky folks.
At last a sensible response. But you'll be another victim of RP venom. Stand your ground!!

I think the floodlights are in replacement very soon, so I'd imagine that's what any funding will go towards depending on how quickly th new Kop materialises.

The club is failing at sorting out football strategy. Its miserable. This is the yard stick, everything else feeds into this. That said they are one piece (the biggest and most important) away from doing good.
If only it was that simple. The current owners and their ownership ,model have not worked and are unlikely to do so.

Until / unless they realize that and get outside involvement nothing much will change.

As for the WAG, they need booting out at the next election. Even if a new Kop is delivered it is not enough and too late versus the support given to the SW clubs.

Having said. if it does move forward then it will be a step in the right direction but not it is not enough for me to vote to keep the current lot in power in future. They have badly failed NW, the town and the club.

Anything that positively helps to rebuild our football club and our home the Racecourse ground is a good thing. A very good thing.

But to do good, it actually needs to happen, not just appear in public literature and newspapers. Until it actually happens its essentially worthless fish and chips paper.

I really do hope it will happen.

BUT without a football team we don't really have a football club. The football team has to be the priority. That is creating a great one again. Only then can we truly rebuild our football club back to its former heights.

If we continue to fail we continue to be part of a downward spiral. And like all spirals there is a thump when you hit the ground.
