Spencer Harris said: “The Racecourse Ground is of strategic importance to Wrexham, North Wales and indeed the whole of Wales.
“It is very exciting to know that, after many years of speculation, plans to turn the ground into a 15,000-seat international level venue, are set to be taken forward.
“It's very encouraging to see the commitment of all the partners and the scale of the regeneration that together we are determined to bring to Wrexham.”

Cllr Mark Pritchard, Leader of Wrexham Borough Council, said: “I am very pleased that plans are progressing very well and that the ambitious proposals set out last year are feasible.

Ken Skates, Welsh Government Minister for Economy, Transport and North Wales, who visited the area recently, said: “The Wrexham Gateway project is a clear demonstration of our commitment to bringing forward the redevelopment of the area.

Maria Hinfelaar, Vice-Chancellor of Wrexham Glyndŵr University added: “I am very pleased to be working with our partners to create a very much improved gateway into Wrexham that will provide visitors, students and residents to Wrexham with an excellent view of the town and a superb gateway into the town itself.

Its the Gutterman plan reformed. If it goes ahead SH stated the club will have a 5'000 seater stand that was originally planned plus the hotel conference centre with links over to the Rail Station. Seems Ken Skates driving this from the Assembly.
Oh for god sake !! don't you think the cop has been derelict long enough ?
Recently relegated Wrexham FC announce plans to build a new 5000 seater kop.

In other news season tickets for our promotion charge in the National League North have just reached the 500 mark.
With two weeks to go until the season kicks off don't miss out on your Wrexham AFC season ticket.

Re: New Kop Update

Can't build a relatively simple disabled platform but they want us to believe they'll build a whole new stand.
I should have put this in the joke thread in off topic.

Re: New Kop Update

15,000 capacity eh. Good news for our fans in wheelchairs then; that equates to 125 wheelchair spaces around the ground according to UEFA guidelines (notwithstanding that any new build MUST comply with regulations). And that's without taking into account people with limited mobility, deaf, blind etc. New accessible toilets and some proper accessible parking bays for a change!

Yup 125 wheelchair spaces means there should also be 125 easy access seats for people with limited mobility.
