So I suspect its a psychological rather than a technical issue. As he looks to have all the physical/technical tools.

The session I saw I judged purely on the technical side. Psychological coaching can take place away from the training ground. So I can't judge that.

Why I am bothering to explain this to a point scoring troll who has zero knowledge of the subject matter we are discussing?

Have a nice day moron

It was only a relatively short purple patch that earned him a contract here, but Port Vale fans warned us he was lazy. However saying that we need him fit asap.

Every striker fails here, even though the coaching is mind blowing.

Maybe Hooper has had yet another falling out with Keates?

Lots of reasons why we destroy strikers......probably the biggest over recent years is that we have had a strategy based on defensive football, if we don’t concede we don’t lose, rather than if we don’t score we don’t win. If that doesn’t change we will never be good enough or get the best from our strikers.

I just get the impression that Hooper just doesn't like living up here. He has the potential to be one of the best forwards we have had in the conference, but I just think he has decided Wrexham isn't for him. Earlier on in the season when he was injured I said to him that we need him back, but his reaction kind of gave the impression of "yeah whatever".

The main reason is that for virtually the whole of our time spent in non league we have played formations that have just the one isolated striker. The only striker we have had who could do this properly was Beavon and he could only do it for 60 minutes. He also had to spend so much effort doing it that he was rarely in goal scoring positions. Football at this level is simples:
4 proper defenders
4 midfield players with two of them attacking and two more defensive
2 strikers with different strengths

We haven’t done this because we have a crackpot board appointing crackpot managers.
