As for the above, I know where you're coming from, but don't think we can really be precious about 'real' fans. I used to go and watch another team when I first lived a few hundred miles away. These days, living roughly the same distance away again, I've just stopped watching much football.

But there are people who enjoy the sport and don't want to stop watching, but also don't want to put themselves through a team who - from what little I've seen of them and from talking to family members who still attend regularly - sound fairly dreadful and boring a lot of the time. Assuming we want to get them back at some point - and given how much we rely on high attendances for income, unlike the Premier League teams with their TV money - it seems to be counter-effective to just say that anyone going to watch someone else isn't a fan and to imply that we shouldn't care about them no longer going.

FFS , I've a soft spot for Oxford due to family ties,,, I suspect I'm one of plenty of wxm fans who are showing a bit more attention to their second clubs right now

End of the day all of us ( boycotters included) care deeply about this club else we wouldn't be posting on here

But there has to be a time when the head rules the heart , and you can't justify the time and expense of watching us at home,,, that moment came for me After the Aldershot game.

Yes.Instead of the next home game on the 21st March I have decided to go to my daughters and watch her home town club Preston play Derby,got to say it will only cost me £4 more and they do not play with one up front and six at the back.

Lots of people I know doing similar, or paying a few quid to watch their local amatuer side instead.

Not doing next seasons budget any good.
