Never happened at the start of a season I will admit, but has happened a few times during the season where a team has been expelled, folded etc... I assume therefore a league could start with uneven teams?

It all will depend on whether Bury FC are able to start the season won't it? What if they can't, theoretically one league somewhere will have to play one short (or have the fans club effectively filled their place?)...or go through a lot of jiggery pokery?

Its all confusing and needs sorting asap.

Basically to stop all the hassle, Keates and the team need to ensure they finish above the top 4!

Agreed best if we finish outside bottom four.
Latest news in the Bury Times is that the phoenix club, Bury AFC, is awaiting a decision on their application to join the North West Counties League. No mention of the original Bury FC.

The EFL made a decision on how many teams would be relegated in Leagues 1 and 2 within days of Bury being expelled, so complete clarity for everyone involved for the duration of the season. As usual the National League makes no decision, and it seems no one will know probably until they meet during the Summer.
