Safe to say season tickets whatever league we are in next year are going to plummet

"Roy Keane said it is not tactics that win football matches, it is players and that is something Joey Jones said to me the first time I came into the football club."

Well Dean... You are all half right, or wrong, depending on your point of view. I would argue that tactics involves looking at the players you have and building a game plan around them. Clueless dimwit.

Is anyone still behind Keates? The appointment seemed to split the fanbase relatively evenly when he re joined but I am Not seeing anyone supportive of him anymore

Heh heh, in the loosest sense. It wouldn't be champions league quarter finals v Bayern you know, it would be a 9-0 two leg defeat in July agaist a team you've never heard of.

Surly it’s only Dumb and Dumber who have more Interest in safe guarding a seat in the board room than having a successful football club.

I still can’t believe that Keates had the balls to ask for his old job back. It’s comical really. He’s never been good enough; his stats are appalling here and Walsall and that includes an excellent team when he left us. He was a very good player, no doubt there, but he couldn’t manage a fish supper.

Another moronic excuse and chucking big names out to justify it. Pathetic attempt to try and shift the blame on the players.

He didn’t inherit that bad of a squad. Your job as the manager is to get the tactics right? Or can you only do that with good players? If so then jog on to your next job at rushsall Olympic. Hopefully they have the right players.

After Hughes, if we had to give it to an old manager and player, more people would have got behind Morrell, surely?

Interesting to hear him on Owain Tudor Jones' podcast talking about his transfer dealings and how he put a bit too much trust in some players from the season before and was going to rip the squad up the summer just after he left. Tamworth seemed to drop like a stone after they parted ways.

Keates was going to split the fan-base right from the very start and even when we were riding high, the football/product was generally a grind and something to get through rather than enjoy.

Ah well.

Personally I'd have had Morell in after Rickets left, well him or the available Askey, both ticked an awful lot of boxes unlike Messers Hughes and Lawrence.

How an earth those who appointed Hughes are still in power is beyond me.
