The PGA in America have decided that all future PGA golf tournaments will be played behind closed doors.
No fans allowed to watch the players event from tomorrow onwards

You can easily see such restrictions being applied to UK events, including football

People’s health has to be the priority now

The BBC are reporting that the government are now considering stopping all sporting events and any event that would have significant numbers of people attending

It’s only a matter of time for the above to be put in place

The press conference by Boris Johnson earlier was pretty clear it will happen, just not yet, as they aim to 'flatten the curve'.

Games to be played behind closed doors as part of coronavirus crisis plan
All football matches in England will be played behind closed doors under government plans to combat coronavirus that could be triggered as early as today.A meeting of the government’s Cobra committee

In a #coronavirus crisis plan being unveiled for football, we can reveal:
• The season will not be postponed and instead matches in the Premier League and lower divisions will be moved behind closed doors >
• Premier League season-ticket holders and ticket holders will be able to stream coverage of matches
• No games will be shown in pubs so as to avoid congregation of people
• Premier League games will not be shown live in the 3pm slot on Saturday afternoons

Obviously it remains to be see if the above is enacted today, later or not at all.

If it does happen the lack of cash flow could hit the club, so could it be worth looking at some kind of virtual solidarity 'ticket' to help bridge the gap?

Overheads could be reduced with no fans, however I can't see anything but a negative impact.

My God, I panicked, I wet myself and I spent far too long on this page just trying to make sense of it all...then I got 21 across and all the rest fell into place!

In the meantime, if people have no symptoms, but they are afraid of contracting Covid-19, they don’t need the government to tell them not to attend the sporting events.

"The Premier League will convene an emergency club meeting tomorrow morning regarding fixtures after Mikel Arteta tested positive for COVID-19"

Other leagues probably looking at the outcome of that meeting.

Everything is pointing at a suspension of the league. Pretty much the rest of Europe has suspended the I leagues and we have arteta tested positive and three Leicester players self isolating

If UK cases don't peak until June, when would they re-start the season? August? Sporting schedules will be messed up for years because of this.

How can the Euros be in 2021 and then the Qatar World Cup in December 2022?
