There is, I think, blame and the stark obvious. The pattern of this disease is showing a direction and the 'ologists' must see it . Sorry keep thinking of the BT advert all those years ago.

They took the government's advice and allowed the games to take place. That advice will change soon, but blaming the NL committee for following advice is silly and academic.

It will be interesting to see when the football will recommence, and how it will be organized. Scheduling the POs will become quite a headache if they insist on using Wembley. Thankfully, that's something we don't need to worry about.

However...

PS I appreciate you are being ironic to other's calls!

I think that as big gatherings will be banned very soon, we may well not play a competitive game for 4-6 weeks. All games will ultimately have to be played. Wembley can take a jump for the play offs - we will be lucky to sort all promotions and relegations out by the end of July.
Still, people’s health is far more important than any game of football.

The WHO are experts and they advise putting in comprehensive measures. This is a very very serious virus - as bad as the Spanish flu

You think 50 million will die worldwide from this virus ?

The WHO advised that 65,000 would die in the UK from Swine flu in 2009...........427 died.

Some calm heads and context required. Why don't we do what we can as individuals to stop the spread rather than panicking and listening to wild predictions from so called experts regarding a virus they know little about otherwise they'd have a vaccine already.

A supermarket could be considered as a gathering of more than 100 people , Tesco and Sainsburys very busy places on normal days , staff more than any other business in contact with the public , a public who will get ever more greedy and difficult as it goes on , they deserve a medal . How do you solve that .

Yes , interesting times ahead . The panic buying is set to continue and the supermarkets will bear the brunt. All they can do is restock and limit the things the greedy ones are buying up. If you go into any smaller food retailer there are no shortages . But we have to go to where it is cheaper to bulk buy. No doubt some will be thinking of reselling on E Bay before long.
Back to the on /off point on the thread I think the National League will suspend all games on Monday. Boris may follow suit some time next week and follow the rest of Europe in restricting before it all gets really bad. We will all have to realise that he will be in protracted discussions with big business to mitigate the effect on them before that happens. Is this something to do with a medical emergency I ask myself?
