National League matches going ahead - apparently our board begged the league not to cut our charge for the play offs short.

Statement from The National League

Following a Board meeting held today, the National League has decided to allow matches in its three divisions to proceed as planned this weekend.

The National League will keep the operation of its competition under constant and diligent review, and will remain in compliance with government advice at all times.

The Football Association has offered its guidance, and made it clear the decision to continue or to suspend a competition is a matter for each league to make.

The National League places the welfare and well-being of all those involved in and connected to its competition as the highest priority.

FA of Wales cancelled all football at all levels so we might not be able to play home games as we are under their jurisdiction

National League appear to be on their own with this call. Is it made by a vote between clubs, if so are we going to know how we voted?

Whats the betting the u-turn is about 2pm tomorrow when people have made the trip!

From a purely economic perspective, perhaps they think that postponing games now could put clubs at risk, and smaller attendances are better than none. Clubs will still have salaries and operating costs to pay but with hardly any income coming it. And our government says sports events can still go ahead...
