The catering at the club leaves a lot to be desired. Can't get a burger unless it's outside the ground.
The steal pies are rarely fresh and the service is slow.

There is a lot that could be done to improve things at little or no cost.

Totally agree with that, and everyone who sits near me have picked up on it too.

You walk anywhere under the MRS and we have all noticed that you are walking along minding your own business and are stared at in a confrontational manner.

What are these security people there for????? What is their function??? We don’t need security in a home only refreshments and walkway area.

If it’s due to a need for cover for a lack of stewards, can they not at least be deployed on stewarding areas, like on exit gates and stairwells? Not just standing around on the concourse doing absolutely nothing except intimidate people.

The club has a shortage of stewards - we have had assistance provided by Tranmere Rovers stewards in the Tech End for the Chorley game - not enough volunteers to take on the role.

Stewarding is a set task and has a number of training modules - it is not the same as S.I.A trained security guards - they are the next step up and deal with incidents that are beyond the role of the stewards - for example to respond to occasional disorderly behaviour.

The alternative is to bring in more police which would cost the club far more - that's the way things have gone across many sports in recent years but especially in football and horse racing.

If we didn't have enough trained stewards and security staff at games we would fail to comply with the stadium safety certificate - that could theoretically mean we would have to play with a reduced crowd number, some stands closing or a game being played with no supporters at all (taking it to it's drastic extreme).

Back to the pie issue, last weekend some fan said to me while I walked into the stand "I hope your pasty is warmer then my pie" he then told me to feel the bottom of the pie and it was stone cold. I have to say if I'd been served that I would of taken it back. Disgrace!

So let me be clear about this, we have a board who have wasted the Danny Ward money, a revolving door of poor managerial decisions, a manager who plays the worst style of football known to man, hundreds if not thousands off the gate, a totally run-down and neglected youth set up and a disinfranchised fan base......and on a thread entitled "more serious issues" you are discussing a cold pie???
I can tell you, I wish to god a cold pie was our greatest problem !!!

Exactly what will happen under trust ownership anyway.
