The chances are that many players will get it, and they will therefore not be fully fit whenever the games recommence. We must hope our lot suffer better than our relegation rivals, but that is all in the hankies of the gods!
It is just one player. The league could end at any point so we have to play these games and try to get points. Not playing was extremely stupid and the Board should have insisted we turn up.

Is our entire squad isolating or just the infected player? If the infected player passes it onto only one team mate last week then come Monday morning that player could continue to spread it around the dressing room before showing symptoms

One player and he may not be infected. Madness. Workplaces can’t shut down because one person may or may not be ill. What’s going to happen next Saturday if another player has a cough ? Given the outside chance of a guillotine on the season and relegation for the bottom four or three places we are being very very stupid. The Board needs to meet and tell Keates he needs to get 11 players on the pitch next Saturday.

The chances of next week's game going ahead must be virtually nil.

The situation is developing quite quickly, and I am fairly confident the NL will suspend games in line with the FL.

By the way I believe we will scrape through this year.
And nothing will change.

The clowns running the club will carry on cause they think they are doing a good job despite the club (their club, not ours anymore) being fifth from bottom of the league.

Keates, Davies and Darlington will also still be there. Spencer said last week that he had full faith in him. Expect more of the same crap next season, whichever league they are in.

I choose to stay away, I’m not even a “fair weather” fan. I just don’t understand how anybody can put up with this crap anymore. Thousands of us have seen the light.

They’re not just going to relegate the bottom 4 as they stand if they haven’t played the same number of games, that would be ludicrous and open to legal challenges. At worst they would do it based on points per game. I think the season will be allowed to finish eventually albeit probably most games behind closed doors.

Whilst I think the league should have suspended all fixtures I’m not sure how we justified calling off the game then because one player felt ill if everyone else was available to play? Surely we have had players developing colds throughout the season? I’d be interested to know what we said to the league and what our approach has been to isolation of other players

Do we know if clubs were consulted on whether today’s games went ahead or did the league instruct it. What was Wrexham’s position on it if they were consulted?

STATEMENT | BARROW V WREXHAM POSTPONED
Macclesfield Town
POSTED:FRI 13 MAR 2020
AUTHOR:WREXHAM AFC
With regret Wrexham AFC can confirm that our National League fixture against Barrow tomorrow (14th March 2020) has been postponed.

After seeking medical advice, a member of the Wrexham AFC first-team squad has been advised to self-isolate and we have a duty of care for the well-being of our staff, volunteers and others.

The football club is continuing to monitor the situation closely.

This is as much as I know. Presumably they would have consulted Barrow and the NL. As with other games postponed today, the sensible option was taken.; whilst those clubs with no known issues clearly played.

This would not have been an arbitrary decision, especially as the kwak gave his advice.
