Default Season Delay & Contracts

With the unprecedented stopping of matches due to the Coronavirus outbreak and the possible delay to the end of the season does anyone have any idea what will happen with contracts if the season ends up running into the summer? I know most of the contracts finish soon after the original season date so where do we stand with players leaving still if theres games to play?

PFA will step in apparently and temporarily extend contracts

That seems fair to me even if as I think will happen the season will be ended as it is now with a fresh start in August .

I bet those players who would have difficulty in getting new contracts will be hoping Spencer will be pulled in by the PFA to sort it all out....

Why start fresh next season? Why’s next season more important than the current season?

Obviously it would help us if it was started again, but I can’t and don’t want it happening

What I should have said is draw the line under this season now and start with a new season ( as usual ) in August.

Why is next season more important than this one? I don't think teams such as Barrow, leeds, Liverpool etc would agree with you on that one. personally I can only see that you have to finish the season you started and if that leaves you short on time you shorten the following season but at least everyone knows and understands those parameters from the outset.
