Then came Wrexham.

"That wasn't a good move. At all," he recalls.

"I thought they'd play a certain way that would suit me.

"I went there, and they put me straight into the team, but I think the players couldn't deal with the pressure of promotion or being in the play-offs.

"They were so scared and they just constantly went direct. That's not my type of game."

Interesting extract from an interview with Wales Online.

I can't remember the last time we actually played football to be honest.

Maybe the 11/12 season, and 12/13 to a point.

I've said before the players have looked petrified of making a mistake, the Darlington effect.

I wouldn't read much into this. He was part of the problem brought in as the play maker with Summerfield injured and he wasnt up to the job. The fact he has had 13 clubs since he left Swansea hardly making double figures anywhere says it was a gamble that didnt pay off.

The style of play under Mills was fabulous and no doubt the best we were served - crowds went massively up and it was pure entertainment and a joy to watch - actually counted down the days and couldn't wait until Saturday - vivid memories of Adriano Moke working the ball out from the back - we were like Brazil - had some good times under Mills - beating Tranmere Rovers 2 - 4 in the Trophy at Prenton Park was a good memorable performance too.

Shame it started to go belly up - remember we lost at Cheltenham 2 - 1 infront of the TV cameras and things started to blow up, notably James 'Spiderman' Gray.
