Default Ideas to email the club from WST Statement

The Wrexham Supporters Trust are keen for fresh ideas to help navigate the club through this unprecedented time and we want to hear from you.

Any ideas or comments you have, please feel free to get in touch – you can email ideas to membership@wst.org.uk.

So what ideas would help?
I guess we will have...

- The board to resign etc

What about putting together a constructive list that would help the club?

1. Club to actively seek 'lucrative' pre-season or at any safe time against Premier League teams?

Liverpool, Manchester United, City....what about approaching Arsenal? It would be a great way to remember 1992. I am not sure that they would travel up though.
I guess the big clubs who had previous visited the US, Far East, Europe may not be traveling there on pre season tours for a while.

2. Cutting ticket prices. Everyone will now feel the pinch. 20 Pounds to sit was expensive before the crisis.

Why not lower ticket prices for certain games?
Category 1 (local derbies) Stockport etc Full price
Category 2
Category 3 Borehamwood, Solihull, Woking, Harrogate
Discounts for NHS, Military, Frontline (key workers), Students etc

3. Travel to games. Transport is a devolved issue in Wales. Why not ask the WAG / Local Council to help transport fans from outlying areas to Wrexham for a period 2 hours before and 2 hours afterwards. In many European countries you can travel to a game using your match ticket, for free, 2 hours before and 2 hours afterwards.

I am not saying that free transport can be provided but what about...

If you live in Flint, Holywell, Gobowen, Chirk, Ruabon, or stations from Central towards Shotton, why not encourage families to come with free or discounted travel?

Maybe it could be linked to season ticket holders?

4. Sponsorship. Ok, we are not a commuter town in the South East or have rich benefactors but I think we do not realize the successful medium - large size companies that exist in Wrexham.

Why aren't Moneypenny, Supermarkets (Crikey...there are enough of them in Wrexham), Media organizations, Technology companies, Finance, Transportation, Agricultural companies being targeted to support/sponsor the club?

5. Media Operations

The club need to be focusing on getting Wrexham Football club as high up the local, regional media as much as possible.Social media is good but lacks the coverage in the local press and regional coverage.
I cringed when I saw BBC Wales get the wrong result either last season or this season. BBC Wales should be held to account for not doing more for the North and Wales in particular.
I am not sure that I see much on Wrexham.com anymore about the club.

The club is a football league club. It just isn't run like one nor has the vision of one. It is a 'sleeping giant'.

The WST statement does acknowledge such shortcomings and is looking for support.

Be careful here, if you send in lots of good ideas from Red Passion on one email it will just get ignored by the board judging by how they treated our contribution to their QandA

Wrexham currency which could be used at the stadium via a mobile app, the app could be used for special promotions, tickets, club merchandise, food kiosks, could also link in local business advertising etc

Get rid of Keates, Darlington & Davies and go after a decent proven manager not the cheap option.

Ok, so who is the proven manager? We have had our 'better' seasons under rookie managers - Morrell, Saunders, Ricketts (seemed promising), Flynn (remember he wasn't always experienced) Arfon to name a few, with the exception of Denis Smith, the "experienced ones" have been as much a disaster in my opinion. I haven't got the answer, but a lot of it is down to luck
