ermmmm… oookaaaay.... let me rephrase... that would be a "no" we are not financially unstable. Which some may find acceptable if we were challenging for a playoff place... but we are financially unstable and have nothing to show for all the wasted spend. Diabolical mismanagement.

No one can be blase about financial stability in the current crisis. I would suggest one unexpected expense from the ground, or one run of postponed fixtures next season due to adverse weather could lead to serious cash flow issues. Many business will have seen cash flow eroded to extremely tight margins due to Covid 19. Many of the business I work with are dipping into reserves to get through, mine included, so any business with tight cash flow before the lock down will be much worse coming out of it unless they have fluid capital lines available.

NS - Do you think the club has had this years contribution to the lease moved forward by the landlords. I do hope Glyndwr have done something to ease matters whilst the club deals with the current situation.

Considering we are a Football Club and we won’t have anything to show for the Danny Ward money I think it’s certainly a massive no.

When the going gets tough with covid and the club is struggling you watch them flee the sinking ship. Someone get down to Carden Park and beg Steve Morgan to take us over.

Fundamentally, a football club is about football. Everything else is a means to that end. The WST Chairman should head the WAFC Board (which becomes the executive body), be directly elected by the WST members, and be accountable to those members. The Board members are responsible to the Chairman for the running of the club.

The lesser -- but important -- roles undertaken by the WST should report to the WAFC Board, and those posts used as a springboard for the more capable individuals to eventually join the executive.

Currently, we supposedly have the tail wagging the dog whereas, in reality, a small cadre of individuals are effectively running the show whilst the WST Chairman plays no meaningful role, other than chair WST meetings which provide poorly written minutes.
I agree with you on this PD. I understand what Haruki is saying, but I believe simplicity wins everytime in business and in life and in football.

The complexity of total football was a wondrous thing for Cruyff and Holland, but still Shankly had it nailed on with the simple game.

People respond much more to simplicity.

And yes both 3pm Sat and BV are right in that we all need to see the bigger picture and consider financial stability as crucial to survival and understand where CV19 is going, but still in the end, once this is all over, we will still need an effective board to run the club we all love.
