I agree with you that the board needs to be changed. My more general point was I'm not sure people will do this until they have a viable alternative. I.e. "we'll have x y z involved bringing a b c expertise". Make it real. Show people that there is a viable alternative. Then with a decent strategy, change can be achieved.
Hard to propose new people as they have to be elected to the WST Board, or appointed by the WST Board first.
We could certainly propose or suggest new appointments though.

Two things:

1) people buy people - the way to get them onto the WST board is to make people familiar with them in advance and to showcase their skills. That way, when WST elections come up, you're not starting from scratch. That has to start now. You don't need to propose or suggest new appointments at this stage. You just need to prove that there is a viable alternative out there. That hasn't happened thus far.

2) You've got to make it real to people or they won't vote for change. You've got to show how change is better because most people are inherently conservative so won't vote for change in case it gets worse. You then get left with the status quo. Removing Spencer, John Mills, Dean Keates isn't visionary - what if removing them just makes things worse? Spell out the positive of what you want to do.

I would happily consider new people as long as it’s done in this way. Change can be organic rather than Big Bang.

When is our chance to vote out the current incumbents?
Actually under the constitution you can't change the Football Club board. As a paid up member of the trust you can vote for WST board members who in turn 'elect' the Football board. The WST board have a strong hand if they wished to make changes. It is they and the WST Chair who have the power.

It suggests you want to vote out board members - but - via the constitution, depending on who is up for re election, there can effectively only be a gradual change in board memberships - unless there are resignations. I mean by that - only a set number of members on rota are up for election at each WST AGM.

A more accurate reading of the way the elections are managed can be gained by contacting the WST 'Independent' secretary.
There are a good few fan members who follow forensically how the Trust elections / Agendas / Minutes are managed. That is of course healthy in any organisation.

Still loads of signatures missing!

Check your emails! Many people think they’ve signed it and that they’re on there but they’re not

In my view and PD has touched on it on RP a number of times himself, this is the biggest problem we have and the reason for all the problems we are facing.

Two boards does not work.
Two boards is convoluted and confusing and creates conflict and lack of autonomy to do really great work.
We do not need two boards, thats a fallacy. It was SD's directive to do that. SD no longer exists.
We only need 1 board. A really great strong board to oversee the club and still run the WST as the ownership organisation.
The members should be voting for those who sit on the board that oversees both organisations.
I want to vote for someone who is going to sit on a board of the club I love.
It's really very simple.

And their is the problem...the current leadership need it to be complicated as that makes it easier for them to cling on to power.

I don't know if that is fair and accurate view or not.

But i do know constitutions can be changed.

If members vote for it. Thats the whole point of a democratic organisation isnt it ?
