Default Danny Ward Money

IF this has been frittered away and a 100k loan was required to stay afloat, then how on earth can the current leadership hope to move us forward if they are spending this amount of money? Where do they expect the next bail out to come from ? Is it a case of these irreplaceable amounts having been spent to mask their total lack of knowhow ?

I think we have to face facts. It's their club and they can do, will do, and do what they want.

I often wonder if the reason they don't look for investment is because anyone wishing to become involved in the club would obviously need to look into past practices . Would they find things out , is this why a certain person says they have all the skills here at the club , it makes you think and wonder does it not .

I also wonder if there is an obsession with the training ground , a certain someone's need to push through at all costs . Is money held back for this , to the detriment of playing side again and this cheap option mantra . I suppose things will come to light eventually .

There has been a lot of speculation about the Danny Ward money off Liverpool, but has it actually been confirmed that Liverpool have paid ALL the money?

It would seem that any money allocated to the new training ground might now be needed for day-to-day expenditure. If so, then the Board must look again at what they need and what they can afford.

Without any revenue stream, cash-flow is now the be all and end all until we exit the lock-down and football (in front of a fee-paying crowd) recommences. As yet, no one knows when that will be, but January 2021 seems like a good guess at the moment.

The Board are responsible for managing all these affairs. We do not know how they are doing, simply because they have stopped communicating. They must release an update to explain what they are doing, how they are doing it, and why they are doing it. Otherwise, they will lose even more credibility amongst the fans and WST members. Operate and then communicate!

Yes, all the money has been paid (this has been confirmed) but more importantly has all now been spent I believe.

As for communicating, don't hold your breath. They only communicate about difficult subjects when backed into a corner.

That reminds me, the rogue tweet on the WST account remains unexplained and the silence is deafening.

What was said in the first place regarding the Ward money made no sense. It will have been payed into a holding account in full as stipulated by Premier League rules. That rule came about because a club - Sunderland?? - entered admin and owed money to other clubs in such agreements. Those clubs missed out on that cash, we were led to believe it would be drip fed when Liverpool say.

Then when we we're in a bit of trouble it suddenly all got payed out that account, with it being made out we didn't know when the payment dates were. We were led to believeit was over the course of his new contract at Leicester City. We would've as a club been told these, I believe that's simply just UK law.

I'd bet all the cash was payed in the first place, as they're is no way those in charge wouldnt know how it all works with the holding account.

If this is so, it seems there has been a lot of unnecessary underhandedness, but very little transparency. Either by design or default we endure a situation that is rarely what it seems, and very little straight-talking.

I think most of us want change for the better before the club sinks into the mire. The question, I guess, is whether we can enforce change upon the WST to become the body they should have been? If the answer is no, then an alternative ownership must be sought ASAP. One option — as suggested by yourself — is to create a mirror organization to challenge the WST for ownership of the club. If there is no genuine private consortium ready to buy the club soon, then this must be our best option.

But we need to have enough WST members to vote it through, otherwise the dick-dance will continue.
