"Please note, the WST is also aware of the tweet posted from the Trust’s account at the weekend. We are looking into the matter and a further statement will follow."

Noted in the last paragraph of the announcement of an Interim Secretary.

It took almost 5 days to put that sentence together, they must be frantically trying to find ways to cover it all up.

IF that was all the club had to do in those 5 days, you might find some sympathising with your view.

As it is, there may have been other issues that were more urgent than dealing with a semi-literate tweet that looks as genuine as an email from an American Colonel in Afghanistan urging you to be his mate so that he can send you 25% of $Millions stuck in a Nigerian account.

As other correspondence from the club and the Trust states, they have had many urgent tasks to discuss and carry out, such as dealing with Staff furlough matters, (that's notifying staff as well as dealing with the Government to join the scheme) dealing with bank facilities in connection with Covid-19, conforming with H&S requirements, cash-flow projections, requesting and taking financial advice, dealing with the National League voting on the end-of-season issues, considering issues such as the implications regarding the Lionel Richie concert, possible arrangements for next season's ticketing (whenever that may be) dealing with the enforced absence of the Independent Secretary, issuing Boardroom Minutes, to name just a few.

If all of those were on your plate when the tweet was sent, how would YOU prioritise the list? Asking for a friend...

Agree there was lots to do, but surely a tweet explaining the hack (or whatever it was) would have taken significantly less time than the stuff on your list? LJ could probably have sent it in less time than it took him to break the news of his appointment to SO78 readers (which again wouldn't have been top of my list of priorities if I was in his place.)

Are you talking about the same board who took us to the bottom of the league?

Regardless of what the tweet read like I believe it came from within. Their 2 line comment has no denial of that.

But we have all the skills in place. What is the problem?

To be honest it's embarrassing how much of a WST apologist you are.
