Mr Currie on Facebook contrasts the info given by Wrexham FC to that given by Chesterfield’s CEO

Wouldn't it have RUs vote noted in minutes?

The minutes of WST board meetings list attendees. If a vote was unanimous it follows that all present would have voted in favour. There is usually a note of who proposed and who seconded the vote.

WST minutes typically include updates on football operations from the club board. In his Tweet yesterday RU said that the Board wasn't informed about the directors loan in 2016.

Any luck finding the minutes from that period 3pm to clarify if the WST board was informed about the directors loan by the club board?

I do not know anyone on the WST board or the club .

Life is full of ups and downs and sometimes things can go wrong short term .

If a relative , good friend or local club were in trouble I am sure there are many people in life who will help if they can .

I very much doubt whether the person who decides to help out wants it publicised .. He/ she is unlikely to want to embarrass a good mate / relative who is the recipient. The donor is also unlikely to want his wife to know .

I haven’t got a clue who is involved in these loans and don’t really care .

What does really concern me is that an individual who was trusted with information has decided to breach confidentiality .

Once again, the board and many fans have failed to grasp the real issues here.

Other than the more pressing concern as to why the board would need to borrow the money in the first place, I have no real issue with the loans themselves. I also have no real issue with the details being withheld from supporters.

But what is categorically unacceptable is how the board can insist they have everything under control and claim they don't need outside investment, and will never seek outside investment without a 'mandate', when in reality they have already done so behind everyone's backs to cover their own shortcomings.

This is made ten times worse by their abject failure to act on a direct mandate that was passed god knows how long ago now, and their pursuit of vanity projects that apparently don't require a 'mandate'.

This board will continue to pursue whatever action they want and do whatever it takes to retain power, regardless of how incompetent and unpopular the end results are. They will only bring up the 'mandate' barrier when there are calls to do something they do not approve of, particularly as they know the resolution voting system is heavily weighted in their favour. The reason they know that? They created the biased system in the first place.

In short, the club board, WST chairman, and WST Independent Secretary need to go immediately. People are scared of the unknown aspect of change. But I would rather dive head first into the unknown than continue to be eaten away from the inside and die a slow, painful death.

Thanks for bringing the narrative back on track.

We are a football club whose goal is promotion to the FL.

We have failed, and there is nothing to suggest we can be successful with the current set-up and vast majority of players.

Excellent summary of how many are now seeing it.
