Re Fondop there is talent there somewhere but theres also either a bad attitude or a lazy attitiude. He can score we know that but he must have done something to get dropped and pretty much frozen out of the first team for the rest of the season.

Not absolutely necessary - could have been a big personality clash and no way back.

Look at Kevin Wilkin's time here - I think he could have done us proud but too many differences of opinion and some players wishing to audition for the part of Fletcher Christian in Mutiny of the Wrexham Bounty !

Anyway - a check of the official Chesterfield FC official site shows no mention of any players being released and nothing specifically on Fondop so where is the specific source of this information.

The Chesterfield forum 'Bob's Board' has a thread and discussion on their clubs retained list - again no specifics - someone has suggested that Fondop may have already signed a pre agreement to move to another club at the end of the season - that club being Hartlepool.

So with a Wrexham based girlfriend that means one thing - expect to see Big Mike back in a Wrexham shirt when football eventually resumes - you know it's bound to happen - stranger things have happened at this crazy club of ours.

The only thing that sticks out, when we played them at their place he was chasing down a lost cause and did a really weird run. Whatsupwiththat?

'another Jefferson louis' - if only. 15 goals in 42 games was a decent return for JL and he had a big hand in Marc Williams 13 goals that season (2008-2009)
I don't remember much 'odd' about him - just a robust forward with an eye for goal and 100% commitment
As for Fondop i will not revel in another persons misfortune.

hopefully players will lower their expectations with wages, and the excess number of players being released this summer will all be able to find jobs.

If the above happens to all non league clubs, there are potentially teams out there who will end up with no players at all on their books - we will only have 7 or 8 so will need to find another 10 minimum

Recently listened to an interview Swindon manager Ritchie Wellens did on talksport and he said exactly that
