Default Re: Should Pete Jones resign?

So by his own admission he has now lost control of the board then. Either that or hes lying. Either way he should be gone now.

I think there should be a maximum term as wst chairman, and Pete has had more than enough time to contribute to the best of his ability, time to resign, sooner the better

Closed the other thread and moved the posts to this one.

Obviously just one account of the apparent conversation, however if "He accused me of having multiple accounts on Red Passion and that I was stirring up hatred against the board" was said, I would just say there is nothing that indicates that is the case.

(People or enthusiastic spammers have gone to great lengths to use Tor, darkweb, fake emails, VPN's etc to post on here but would say most have been nipped in the bud.)

If he seriously didn’t know then shouldn’t he be resigning out of principle and his own self respect? Never mind his own failings.

I’m not sure what Pete Jones brings to the table as chairman of the WST. He comes across as a man out of his depth, but too arrogant to see it himself.

He’s not held the club board to account on numerous issues over the last few years and it’s completely unacceptable. It disappoints me we don’t seem to have anybody with an objective view to question any decisions. Also, sitting drinking a pint at the top table at trust meetings shows a complete lack of any professionalism.

I’m not sure what can be done to change things at this moment in time. It seems to me football across the lower leagues is in a fight for survival in the coming months. A continuation of crowds not being allowed to gather will see clubs go out of business.

I do think Pete should stand down, but how achievable is it to elect a replacement sooner rather than later?

Why's he lying about not being told about the loans? It's in the minutes he knew and even met with the fan. He'll have agreed in the following meeting the minutes were correct too.

Just resign for heaven's sake.
