Default Re: WST statement: WST 'made aware of a further Directors loan'

So someone put in £100,000 without anyone else knowing and then, which is more worrying, taking it back out without anyone noticing at the time?. If so we are a shambles.

Thanks to Don for helping the club by the way.

On jan 4th 2015 we played stoke away in fa cup in front of 20000 plus all the extra fans joining WST to get tickets.
On March 29th 2015 we played against North Ferriby at Wembley.
Then in May 2015 we have cash flow problems!
It just doesnt add up.More lies from WST

Surprised the bank weren't in touch with such a big sum of cash being moved about in such a way.

Also wouldn't it show on the statements?

Full of sh*t.

Thanks to Don Bircham though.

Another story that stinks to high heaven.

There will be lies somewhere within this for sure.

Just for clarity, if Don paid £100k into the clubs account then removed it again a matter of weeks later how did no one know ?

Also, if no one knew then, how come someone knows now unless it's Don who leaked it ?

Either they didn't tell us or they are so incompetent that they didn't know at all, and I highly doubt that despite where the club has sank too.

Thanks to Don for covering the gap.

I can’t see how as a bare minimum Mark Williams wasn’t aware Of it.
He is the financial director so would he not have known about a £100k cash flow problem and how would he have not had know money had been lent and repaid?
Is it also indicating that the clubs financial procedures are so poor that one director could pay himself £100k without anyone else knowing?
Why was this not picked up when the bank rec was performed ?

As an aside - many thanks to Don for his assistance to the club. His motives appear to be purely in the interest of the football club. The rest of them seem to be in the interests of protecting themselves from questioning and blame.
Maybe I have missed something along the line here but where has the figure of £100,000 come form for this loan in May 2015. The statement refers to a loan repaid within a month but does not mention any figure.

Agree on all counts.

The tone of the WST message virtually accuses Don of singlehandedly breaking the rules for the necessary benefit of the club. What were the other directors doing during these events? And why was there no oversight by the WST Chairman?

I hope the WST are not identify Bircham and Horne as scapegoats for the lack of oversight when they were on board, and lack of effective leadership since they left.
