Perhaps the club need a Fred Tomlinson character or a poor mans Bill Kenwright ? Less of the blue chip claims that we are confronted with at election time.

At the end of the day its the members who indirectly choose the lead in both the WST and football boards. You get what you vote for.
Changes to the constitution are needed and that seems unanimous across the board, but we expect promotion and who ever the leader is will be opposed, if we do not look like achieving. You can please some of the people................but you cant please all of the people all of the time.

It looks very much like we are getting an increased break from the real business of performing on the pitch, so it's an opportunity to find real improvements, rather than turn the club into political punch bag. We can change all of the board or simply the higher profile directors but how long will it take for them to become the derision of some. It's amazing how we slated some of our past employees only to now see that they were treated badly, weren't supported given enough time. I realise its what makes a fans forum interesting but it is not good for a successful business.

We need to take the emotions, personal choice and any biases out of the equation, stop the petty insulting and undertake a full route and branch review with an independent person over seeing it.

Agreed that’s why we need someone who has had that role not just someone who has run a business. It’s not an easy find.

Again agree completely. Personnel will be the challenge as you infer.

As you mention we have a window to make changes and reorganise but still up against it time wise.

Therein lies some of our issues. Seems the chairman is directing too much attention in the wrong areas rather than focusing on running a football club.

You are correct that we need a high calibre individual to be chairman of the club.

This is where it has all gone horribly wrong because folk have lost sight that the WST is there to support the club, not the other way around.

With your admission, I really do fear for the future of our club.

Sorry you've lost me with the admission thing and fearing for our future? We can bomble along as we are but I hope this opportunity to revisit the structure of the club is taken and to add some real structure but also to focus on improving the football set up and strategy as its stinks at the moment.

As I say its all down to the right people which are hard to find.

Great to see some agreed comments popping up on this thread,

Finding consensus agreement rather than disagreement is the only way forward.

Inside Left, I really wouldn't recommend the Fred Tomlinson iron fisted approach. That's what led to Arfon resigning and walking out. An ultimatum was made and ultimatums never end up well.

That was when ou great club, which had gone forward for so long suddenly started going backwards.

SHAG 5 mag will reveal that story in the coming months.
