I reckon if the club are honest its been picked as it doesn't reduce capacity and therefore potential revenue to the club in the longer term.
Some will say 'pie in the sky' but hopefully the 2nd platform will eventually be used by away fans as the home end will switch back to the new top stand, where the architects will have a clean canvas to accommodate more areas for our disabled fans with extra capacity for any big cup ties.

Amen to that.

Given that’s clearly a number of years away it still seems completely wrong to build the platform there.

Absolutely this. Leaving an average of 5800 seats empty on the off chance.
Which led one of those who proposed the resolution for further provision for disabled fans to say that he felt "less valued than an empty plastic seat."

And we are heading into an unforeseen recession. Any money that had been identified for the new kop May now not be available

It seems alot will depend on any delays to the'Wxm Gateway', but this partnership maybe the only chance we as a club will get the funding to develop the kop for another decade plus. We all want the club to attract some extra investment and surely an improved stadium will only make the club more attractive to investors.

In some ways it would be far better to postpone the second platform until our present leadership is gone.

Ultimately it seems better to start from scratch, to produce something far more appropriate and inclusive for our fans. Rather that than paying to sort out the mess caused by our current board.

However I fully expect more of our money to be crassly wasted before things improve, if they improve. Oh yes, and more consultation with no destination.

It'll be a long time before this 'football' club has any of my time or money again.

To be fair I was led to believe that platform 2 had been shelved pending the AGM and new WST committee reviewing the situation.
It therefore came as a surprise to hear the club were pushing on. And not just to me I think.

It’s a bloody stupid argument when you consider how few capacity crowds we’ve had in the last 10-15 years.

Community club my arse.
