Yes it was a poor choice of words from me - and I apologise unreservedly.

Tenants would have been better.

In addition the trust are looking to people for advice and suggestions to make it all work better to make sure we have roofers joiner plumbers on board (anology still reigns)
But the board have all the skills required, as they’ve told us many times, when we did have someone with great experienced and knowledge they ignored his advice

Football isn’t the only hole in the roof either, there’s the treatment of the DSA, the failure to do what the membership voted for, the lack of transparency, the misleading championing of the financial aspect of the club, the enormous wasting of financial windfalls etc. etc. It’s all been done to death on here

Give Keates, Darlington and Davies the boot and that will help a lot. But many still won’t return with Spencer Harris at the club

Get rid of Spencer and his ilk first before getting rid of Keates. No way would I trust the current board to appoint any new manager.

I posted this on another thread, but it is more appropriate to this debate.

Arguing about ownership of that 'one share' is academic.

However, whilst the WST members do have the ability to influence the WST executive through AGMs, votes and EGMs, the current system is -- by design or default -- biased towards what that executive wishes.

There is certainly a gap on RP between what the executive thinks is best for the club, and what most RP posters think and believe. Whether that gap is representative of most (75%) of WST members is currently unknown.

Before we drift off into a flight of fantasy, the fundamentals remain:

Is the football club successfully meeting its stated aim of promotion?

Categorically NOT!

Why is it not meeting that requirement?

Because of some bad luck but, more importantly, a lack of footballing nous amongst the Wrexham AFC Board members AND the WST Chairman's inability to supervise the Board and offer clear guidance when they went wrong.

What can we members do about it, other than whinge and moan?

Develop and present a credible alternative to what we currently have.

Have we done this?

I see lots of deserved whinging and moaning but no credible alternative other than the desire for change. That doesn't cut the mustard, I am afraid.

Therein lies the problem: urgent change is needed, but we must define what change can be achieved; how; by whom; and when. Until we get this sorted we will continue to dance merrily around the May-Pole, yet still be in the same mire next season.

PS I think the Wrexham AFC Board members have been in post too long, and we need a plan to rotate them out over time. Getting rid of everyone in a cull sounds appealing to some, but it is fraught with danger. Conversely, there is a danger if we carry on as we are; because some of those Board members and WST executives have lost credibility with the wider fan-base over how they have managed/mismanaged things these past few years.

They have it wrong then as they plainly do not have the required skill set to work through a football strategy to get us promoted. Its a disaster.

The DSA situation as I have found out over the last few weeks is at best 6 of one etc.

Pointless giving Keates etc the boot without someone who knows football to hire the new manager. I dont want Spencer to leave but I also dont want him choosing the next manager.

The start beginning and end of everything at the club should be success on the pitch and stability off it....Our set up does not mirror that in terms of personnel.

Both sides are to blame in part.

I did a small bit of work assisting the DSA on the first platform and even back then I could feel tensions. I understand both sides points but feel that there is certainly a way forward.

Sounds like we will end up with a new platform without the input of the DSA which is a shame.
