There's no comparison with Gradi then and Darlington now! Sadly, player rule is far too common in the modern game. Players don't fear Darlington neither do they respect him or his lack of football background. For that alone, it's time for him to move on.

There's also the ridiculous part of him assisting in picking the new manager and subsequently protecting his own job, I still cannot believe this goes on.
Part of his wages it seems are covered by the FAW Trust, I'd be very surprised if he leaves anytime soon.

Had a budget increase to bring in some players. Jury is still out on players like Jarvis and Keilor Dunn

Overall the signings he's made have been poor. How many of these would be in a team capable of winning the league?

James Jennings
Jordan Evans
Ollie Shenton
Iffy Allen
Izale McLeod
Ntumba Massanka
Christian Dibble
Simon Ainge
Shaun Pearson
Manny Smith
Nicky Deverdics
Sam Wedgbury
Akil Wright
Chris Holroyd
Jack Mackreth
Kevin Roberts
Marcus Kelly
Jonathan Franks
Scott Boden
Alex Reid
Ferdinand Takyi
Scott Quigley
Callum Preston
Jordan Thompson
Tyler Reid
Tyler Garratt
Kyle Barker
Keilor Dunn
Dan Jarvis
Jay Harris
Jordan Ponticelli
Chris Dunn
Mark Carrington
Paul Rutherford
Leo Smith
James Hurst
Olly Marx

I'm sure I've missed the odd player but those are his signings and those that he gave contract extensions to. How many could be in a team that could win the league?

To answer the question 3. Only 3 players are top drawer at our level. Pearson, Manny and Jay Harris

Yep, this is very worrying. No sign at all of any efforts to bring in income during these times. No launch for next season's kit, selling of this season's stock, etc etc.

Wrexham FC branded face masks anyone?

To be fair, I was only looking at the last transfer window, not all the players he recruited.
Thought he'd learned a lesson. Then saw some of the worst games. The lack of effort was from the previous squad though.

Re Carl Darlington.
In the current climate it is pretty certain that he won’t be retained. Pretty much down to economics-no income coming in equals a tightening of the spending. He will be gone in my humble opinion.
