Phil's an alki: Are you the No 1 Pearson hater? A good captain, leader and true professional who would walk into any NL side. He suffered with injuries last season but when fully fit has proved to be a prime asset at this club.

I’ve heard another rumour recently - not sure if it’s true or false....

Paul Rutherford constantly turns the wrong way when running onto a through ball despite already being past the full-back, because an unnamed individual in the dressing room has ordered that he does.

Not totally sure on the bit highlighted in bold. There are better centre-backs in the league from a footballing ability perspective I think.

Pearson has never been the most technically gifted footballer ever. Even at Wrexham, his CB partners (Smith, Lawlor, Kennedy) are/were better ball-playing defenders. If you're looking for a CB with technical footballing ability Pearson's not your man and I don't think anyone argues that.

However, he's one of very few people we've had in our conference years who has the intangibles. He's a bit of a shithouse but will always get stuck in and be heard. You need that on the pitch and not every club has it.

A bit like Sam Wedgebury.... he had the heart of a lion.

Well said. Every club needs these sort of characters. On and off the pitch, you need players of his ilk, particularly at this level.

Without doubt something underhand went on. Just watch the highlights. Pretty obvious that game was thrown.

Why have everyone forgotten that Pearson down tools under BH?

Why has everyone forgotten how muted he became in games, something that was mentioned often on here after games.
