Default Club Member/WST Member Confusion

I'm wondering if there are people in the same boat as me who are thinking they're paid up members, with the ability to vote on matters yet may not be.

My confusion arose because I keep reading on here about how subs are due in June yet my money keeps going out in December. I checked my bank account and no standing orders or direct debits are set up for this.

When I last bought a season ticket a few years back, I bought a club membership to go along with it. I was under the impression that this replaced the yearly subs to the WST as it was all being brought in as one thing. All club members, not WST members.

It seems to be the case to me that my yearly subs that were set up to the WST for yearly membership, with a vote, have been taken out year after year, set up in December 2011 but I'm now not really a voting member, just giving them my money and not having any voting rights.

This is partly my fault because I don't attend meetings or therefore, vote (hence not having to worry/enquite) about my membership number as I'm generally apathetic and trust in others but at the same time, my yearly subs were set up to make me a WST Member and have those voting rights should I wish to use them.

It's only £12 a year but how many other people, who like me, haven't voted for yonks have this sort of payment set up thinking they're members of the WST when maybe they're now not?

My assumption is that my yearly payment is now just a donation to the WST and not paying for any sort of membership.

I tried emailing the WST membership email before Sarah resigned and heard nothing back.

Sorry to waffle on but it's worth checking that you're actually paying for membership with voting rights and not seemingly just donating like I now assume I've been doing.

I set it up as a paypal payment back in the day but I only downloaded the paypal app towards the end of last year which is why I got a notification about my payment to the Trust/Federation. Before that, I didn't know what payments were going out. Somewhat naive on my part but it's not something you generally stress over either. Now it's actually of importance to me and if there are plenty more like me then it could be an issue.

You are a member. We are all club members and WST members if you pay your subs. Mine go out by DD monthly.

If you log into the Welsh ticketing site, it tells you right away whether you are a red wall member or not. Surely it cannot be difficult for the club to put something like that into place?

I renew my membership when I get my season ticket, I pay for both by card. So I will have to sort something out.

If you renewed your membership with a season ticket last summer you are a member.

Would be really good to know if anyone ever checks that e-mail. I believe this was one of NWD's 80+ questions which the board haven't bothered answering.

Default Re: Club Member/WST Member Confusion

Rejoined last year online, then had nothing to confirm my membership.

Had to email to see if it actually went through and I am a member. Had an email back confirming my membership and that I would receive a membership card soon through the post.
That members card must have got lost in the post because I never received it.

Its so amateur and disjointed, which considering the WST have owned the club for nearly ten years now is so poor for a such a basic thing. Its speaks volumes and gives you a taste of how badly the club is run.

Joining online should mean that you get:

An Email back confirming membership straight away.
Members pack then sent out (if that's what they're doing) by post.

After all these years they still cannot get this simple thing right. And all this happens with a supposed 50k per year 'IT expert' sat on both boards. I guess it doesn't fall into the anonymous trolling and abuse online category though so might not be in his job description.

Does anyone at the club do the job they're supposed to? The stadium manager is utterly useless as well, joining the manager, his staff and the majority of both boards along with the useless, toothless 'chairman'. Incompetent, lazy, amateur, jobs for the boys.
