Agreed ! When the time is right we can pick up signings on a reduced budget. The right manager and system could still see us challenge. Personally with a reduced budget I would be signing 26yr old Dom Vose and building the team around him in the number 10 role in a 3-5-2.He’d be desperate to get back here and would be cheap. Hooper could’ve even been decent in this formation alongside a physical forward, Vose’s creativity and delivery from two attacking wing backs.

The retained list must come out before the AGM. Players need to know where they are going - we are talking income for families here. We as a club need to shift the crap and hopefully recruit better players. And the new season may well start in mid September, but who knows.
The National League seems to be the lowest life form. We only get direction when the Premier League, Championship and EFL have sorted their sh*t first. We could be waiting a long time.

They are going to try and shift some merch and season tickets before announcing that grant has given himself another contract extension and we’re keeping the majority of this poor squad.

I imagine Keates has spoke to the lads to let them know they’ll be off and the club are doing them a favour keeping them on furlough. There’ll be a lot of footballers needing work and a platform to try to rebuild their careers, I wouldn’t have a problem with everyone being released except Lainton.
