Change the idiots implementing the system. We only have one way of playing, Darlington's way.
Other teams sussed it out seasons ago, we have no plan B.

To be successful tactics need to be flexible, adapt to what you see happening on the pitch in front of you, switch things up to keep your opponents guessing.

But no, we will keep hoofing the ball up to a lone striker who has no chance and our defenders are too shit scared of the ball to do anything with it.

I disagree that our style of play is down to Darlington

Keates is very different to Hughes, Hughes was very different to Keates

In the very early games of this season we played some fantastic football on the floor under Hughes. We were also far more attacking and played without fear (scoring in every game bar one under Hughes) but ultimately not getting results

Under Ricketts it was different and a good balance

Under Keates we have dire hoofball and players who are set up to camp on the end of their own 18 yard box. Terrified to attack the likes of Ebbsfleet and still not getting results

Darlington is not the fault of the dire style of play under Keates. He does take a significant chunk of blame for our poor results, but not our style of play and certainly not anywhere as near as the managers fault

All that said Darlington really shouldn't have his contract extended this summer

Hughes had a plan to make us more offensive, than Rickett's team, with Redmond playing off Hooper, with Harris and Grant either side. It looked promising but in hindsight, it was all let down defensively with not finding decent replacements for Roberts and Walker (2 key positions) compounded with the form of Dibble and Chambers deputising for Lainton & Lawlor/Pearson.

Agree with all that, I could see what he was trying to do. As you point out, maybe he was a bit unlucky . But I also got the impression that he couldn’t manage the players , and I have a feeling that the Lainton injury situation went on longer than it should have done.

Could someone explain why any of the following players were signed last season:

Chambers
Barton (2 years!)
Bobb
Macintosh
Rutherford again....

Thanks

Because its our strategy to save £20k on wages for a decent manager, but allow the shite we hire to waste hundreds of thousands of pounds

Whats wrong with that?

Rutherford is tradition (like the club cat/mascot...runs around a lot but little substance/end product on the pitch - perfect emblem of the club of late). Chambers, Barnum-Bobb and Macintosh to sell letters on the back of the shirts....Barton (confused with famous Fleetwood Manager namesake??)

Of course you are forgetting we had a Foot Golf goof as the manager and fifty pints of larger (your question is shit as it’s too difficult to answer and I don’t care so move on next question whilst presenting the AGM) as the WST Chairman...credibility and professionalism at its best.

Oh and we have the begging bowl out (when do we not...it’s like the SCS sale!)...hope that answers your question!!
