The now famous tweet episode has had an update.

From the new meeting minutes dated 20th April

"PJ introduced this item. SH Asked JM who had access to the password for the site. JM
answered that five people historically had this access. Since the tweet appeared steps have
been taken to review access and change the password. A protocol is to be set up to regularly
change it and the accounts have been moved to the ownership of the media team.

"MS asked why a statement was not issued at the time to explain the purpose and reason for the loan.
MW explained that the supporter wanted anonymity and no publicity so a public statement was not made.
PJ recommended that a statement go out as soon as possible. MW was to draft one with support from SH and JH."

They skipped over it pretty sharpish! And no mention of the other loans? 2/3 or more? .If this had been Hamilton or Moss the same people would be outside their houses demanding answers

I get respecting someone's wishes of anonymity, however Wrexham is a fan-owned club. Something like that should be on record.

I'll admit I'm not great with the business side of things, though, but I can't think of a reason to keep a loan of that nature quiet from owners.

Respecting the donor's anonymity is not the same as hiding a financial crisis from the owners.
WST Board are deliberately muddying the waters in this regard.

Couldn’t they have just announced it but kept the person loaning’s name anonymous? Is it worrying anyone else that they don’t seem to have worked out that they could have done this?

Yes, surely the logical thing to do would be say they needed a loan to bridge a funding gap, a supporter who wishes to remain anonymous stepped in and the situation was resolved. Many thanks to the generous offer.
