I'm no longer living in the area so doesn't really apply. But for the record, I would probably just about drag myself to a few games with Keates in charge if the current board were gone, but wouldn't go near the club with the anti-democratic gang who've ignored several resolutions and throw a hissy fit whenever people ask them questions they don't like in charge, whoever was the manager.

I honestly think Darlingtons a massive part of the
problem and has been in the background through all the
changes in management.
Keates seems to set his teams up not to loose and the
football is very mundane . A new approach was needed
and he was the easy option .

No I won’t boycott

I miss watching Wrexham too much.

I would even watch the Judas bad Apple play 5 at the back and two holding midfielders at home to a a bottom 7 team if it meant watching the reds again.

Honestly no idea if I will renew my ticket.

It's not really Keates fault tbh, he was offered a job, he took it. The issue is that the board didn't have a better idea. What if keates somehow turns out a team when the season starts that goes on a winning streak. Would people go back then?

Just pretty much exhausted by the whole thing. Been saying since September the club is rotten and I think my resolve is on its way out tbh. The damage done between club and fans needs radical action if it was ever to be repaired, the rift has gone too far for many.

This is someone who claims to be a 'socialist' who's labelled those concerned with the goings on and seeing people marginalised, 'miserable sods'.

Not sure how you can be a 'socialist', while supporting an institution that treats certain fans differently.

Football, was always loosely regarded as entertainment for the common man (me). For the past few years, the standard of “entertainment” has been poor. The result is NOT absolutely everything, but obviously it helps.
The board think they are clearly doing a good/ok job, so will not back down. The board feel that their appointments (Darlington & Keates) are doing an ok job, despite what most fans feel.
Nothing is due to change anytime soon. So it’s either put up or shut up. From a fans perspective it’s mega frustrating that we cannot find radical change. This “fans club” that they peddle, is a joke. I felt that I had more say when Fred Tomlinson was at the helm!
Will I boycott the club? That’s a toughie. But if I do go to the home games, I certainly feel that I am being taken for a mug. I should be feeling excited about the start of next season - that’s not the case, as I only feel tension.

Exactly. Which is why I don’t get the hatred towards him.

If me or you were offered the job we’d take it, too.

The criticism should solely be at those who appointed him, IMO.

If we don't it's possible that we won't have a club to support.
I wonder what all the miserable sods on here will find to moan about then.
Theres the Brexit, Covid 19 and renaming the yale pub threads. There enough moaning and complaining in those to last a few more seasons
