Then when Keates came in it started dropping - 3435, 3479, 3469, 3274, 2941 There may be some leeway in the average attendance drop in terms of early season optimism but then that's balanced out by the usual festive period jump in attendances |

There was my suggestion. There were rumours that ‘something big’ was happening behind the scene. There was the push for an EGM which fizzled out. There is the Board’s calamitous managerial appointments, resulting in our lowest finish ever. There is the re-emergence of LJ as temporary Independent Secretary by the WST and Board. There are loyal fans who have effectively given up. There is the Board and WST hiding behind an impenetrable constitution, hoping its members cannot figure out how to navigate it to bring about the necessary change. I am sure there are many other directions we — and I include myself here — are pulling in. My fear is that we lose sight that this is all about taking Wrexham AFC forward, as quickly and effectively as is humanly possible. That requires dialogue, consensus, agreement and, inevitably, compromise; unless I win £100m on the Euromillions, when all our problems will be...

Re: Will you boycott with Keates at the club?
To clarify, IMHO, there are essentially 4 basic options:
1. Maintain the status quo and hope the WST know what they are doing, and have the wherewithal to do it. 2. Keep the WST model but make some necessary changes to make it work better, which help us create a more united and successful club. 3. Revolution! Burn all the bridges and run the WST out of town, but with no viable alternative in place. 4. Revolution! Burn all the bridges and run the WST out of town, but with a viable alternative in place. None of the options are guaranteed to work, but either option 2 or 4 seems the best to me; whilst options 1 and 4 are akin to the old proverb, ‘out of the frying-pan and into the fire!’

4 is the best option although the WST itself doesn't need running out of town, just those at the top who value their positions over anything else and are pissed on their own importance. |
