People, though, don't realise (or don't care) that by stopping being members they lose their right to vote and have a say. In a fan ownership model, that's catastrophic because you are always left with the status quo.
When you say “causing havoc“ what do you mean? having a vote?

Because a fan ownership model relies on us being the check and balance - ultimately, we've failed in holding them to account.

Those voted off can be co-opted back again and ensure the status quo.

Yeah. I think that many of us - myself included - naively trusted the current board for far too long, unfortunately.

This could have been a great time to boost membership but I think the rule is in place to discourage change. I don’t see how waiting 90 days to vote is a positive, you’ve paid your cash so you deserve to vote immediately.
I was an elapsed member, I’ve joined again last week only because I want to vote for drastic changes, never mind I’ll get over it
When did your membership lapse if you dont mind me asking?

Fans have had over ten years to become and remain members. They have had plenty of time to read the membership rules. They have had opportunity upon opportunity if living local to question the WST and club board on various issues.

Perhaps its the fans continued apathy that has led the club to its worst ever season since the 1920's.
