Default Carl Darlington

Retained list is out and Carl Darlington's contract is up yet no mention of him.

Is he staying? Is he going? Will the media team and the club ever tell us? Just like the didn't tell us about Manny Smiths new 2 year deal or Bobby Grants

You really hate the media team.

Not at all, I've been very supportive of the media team of late

However, as a bare minimum reporting things like contract extensions should be done. Don't you agree?

Keeping good news back for a rainy day under instruction from the board is wrong. Not releasing bad news and showing contempt for the fanbase is wrong.

But anyway, back to Carl Darlington. I was confident he'd be gone but given how frequently Wrexham AFC rewards failure no doubt he's agreed a 2 year deal (but we won't find out about it until 2021)

I don't have a clue. It appears to me that him and Keates are close though, from all that I've seen in the past, so I'd certainly expect so.

What do you think?

I don't recall hearing about extensions to coaches' contracts in the past, and part time ones at that. They were just there until we heard otherwise - e.g. Joey Jones or Cliff Sear.

"We are delighted to announce that First Team Coach Carl Darlington has penned a new deal that extends his contract until the summer of 2020."

When does the summer end - maybe a decision hasn't been made yet? Hardly worth getting stressed about a part time coach who is there to advise the manager.

Essentially, if Keates wants him there he'll stay, if he doesn't, as Mills didn't, he'll be gone.

Guaranteed he's staying, the FAW Trust seem to be subsidising his pay. Odd that Grant is staying when he has little good to say about him.
