The survey is to gauge the amount of support for some kind of sale and gives plenty of scope for comments on how this could be achieved.

The survey is a talking shop and little will come out of it. The question of a sale of more than 49% of the club is the first item and I answered "Don't know" as there are too many issues to consider before giving approval or rejecting a proposed sale.
Some of these issues are addressed later in the survey but until a proposal is on the table it's a fairly pointless exercise.
As for the last box. What's What.
From your experience and reading would any move for a change of the 49% require 75% of members to agree as it is a change in the constitution? The secretary stated that the 75% is there for good reason quoting 'preventing schisims ' (divisions).
I have a feeling that nothing can change because the trust relies on the general apathy of the membership.

Agree with this, don't see the point of it unless something on the table.

The only worry would be that the survey is used to justify not allowing any sale to be investigated properly if the results are what the WST board want or buried and never mentioned again if the results don't line up with their views.
Agree and wont be completing it . We need concrete proposals for change then we can vote on that . what I personally think is up to me .

Any constitutional change requires a 75% vote to pass it.
As far as I'm aware the club has only got the Gateway process in place to vet "Investors". A new mandate is require to sanction a sale, or negotiate a sale.
It all comes back to the membership at an EGM anyway.
It does however require more active members to vote.
A proposal to sell the club would surely be a catalyst for engagement.

I just took the survey on face value and completed it.

Yes I think we should consider any offer

Yes I think we should sell over 49% - as who would put loads of money in and have to get fans to agree to all you want to do

If more people were members who wanted change then change would happen

Just read the questions. Has it been written by a 14 year old on work experience ? The sooner he is back at school the better.

I can confirm that what GGGG says is true, a concrete bid for the club was made a few weeks ago and remains on the table.

Could the concrete bid come from Tunnel Cement?
