Yes , because the public outcry if they refuse to do it would be bad news for the club. They would risk the accusation that they were contributing to another spike if they didn't. Bound therefore to do it.

I hope we are in negotiations about reducing or deferring some of that rent. Most commercial landlords will be having those discussions.

Fair enough. I don't think this will happen but I think we have VASTLY different expectations of the success of test and trace, and of public reaction to it, so I guess we'll see how it's looking when the season finally starts!

The track and trace won't work in this country and it should of been bought in March other countries had it from the off, but we wanted our own. Anyway sorry that's for off topic. And after seeing all the streets and overcrowded pubs yesterday, next season gets ever more unlikely.

Not for the club though. Don't get me wrong, the reason I don't attend many matches now is purely financial. It's not a protest at the board etc,though I don't agree with a lot of what they do.

And I don't think they will only allow the season ticket holders entry just because of track and trace. They could make it ticket only and photo/address ID is needed to buy a ticket.

Plenty of ways to obtain the necessary data if needed to. Even online orders can be monitored and tracked with enough security features.

I can't see people panic buying season tickets if that is the only way they can see a game next season whenever that may be......

Or even have an individual match ticket on.

Therefore track and trace will be possible with or without a season ticket

Only if users consent to their details being passed onto the track and tracers, otherwise the club is in breach of GDPR
