I see clubs in our league are starting to make moves.

Stevenage: Inih Effiong (Dover) and Femi Akinwande (Billericay)
Eastleigh: Joe Tomlinson (Hungerford Town) and Abdulai Baggie (Weymouth)

When will Wrexham make a move? It's always best to get in early otherwise you're left with the players nobody wants.

Even clubs lower down are starting - Chorley signed former Wrexham loanee Ollie Shenton from Stoke yesterday.

Why bring in players and start them on a payroll when there is no National League football in the foreseeable future and more to the point no income via paying supporters (who are declining in numbers - very rapidly).

As our staff are currently furloughed, as are most staff at other clubs, I’m not sure how we could feasibly officially sign players. Maybe some sort of pre-contract agreement but they are often not enforceable.

There will be a great many free agents in the fairly near future

There will be I agree, surely we need to make headwind and try and get a jump on the better ones available

How can we ? Until we know the position on fans in Stadiums we will not know our budget so cannot do anything. It’s worse for us because we are fans owned and the gate receipts effectively are the budget , especially our high season ticket sales. Those clubs with owners injecting their own money are perhaps able to get a head start.

It’s also worse for us because any London Govt decision on fans in stadiums will be complicated by the politics of devolution and the desire of Dark Age Drakeford to play it differently.
