Lots of football clubs are likely to go bust in the coming year without a government bailout, because their owners have loaded them up to the eyeballs with debt, and they are now on the precipice.

Because we are fan owned we don't go into debt, which means we are unlikely to be in that position.

It also means we could have a decent budget to challenge next season compared to some of our competition.

Essentially, being supporter owned makes it much more likely that there will still be a club for my children and my grandchildren to support, and I don't have to worry about some spiv from Cheshire wanting to close down the club and build flats or an Ikea on The Racecourse.

I'm sure the above won't go down well with most people on here, but that's how I feel. I would not want us to move away from being supporter owned for these reasons.
I’ve attached a link to a video interview with AFC Fylde’s benefactor and chairman David Haythornthwaite into the impact of COVID 19 on teams at our level, I’ve listened to the first one, (there are 30 odd of these!) which was quite interesting and he suggests that some benefactor funded clubs are likely to struggle post COVID as the businesses that supply the funds for these clubs find life difficult in the new economic situation. Clubs with the biggest fan bases might well have an advantage, as you suggest.

A club for our grandchildren to support, it’s just like listening to SH slogans.

It’s a no from me, they have pissed 2million pounds down the drain on their ideological driven nobody can do it like us mindset which is probably right. No private ownership would accept such shit management yet the nodding dogs clap for more, you just cannot make this shit up.

You’ll accept failure aslong as it’s in it’s current form, I’m actually not even sure if your on the windup at all!

If you are looking for the pitchforker in chief try Lynsey Jones.

The club is dependent on the fans goodwill and support, Spencer and Chums are doing the best they can to dilute that support . Not a penny more .

There's even someone whispering to Lindsay. But of course with an election coming up they won't get their hands dirty. They never have.

Whisper whisper whisper....

Whoa there - Todd Sweeney says we will be ok as we are not allowed to go into debt so no loans can have happened.
