Don't forget Newell.

I'm sure someone will be along soon to blame it on Barrow.

The training ground situation is a complete disaster and has been since we left colliers. The nine acre isn’t fit for purpose - not even basic facilities are provided as far as I’m aware. This surely impacts our onfield performance. To sum it up - the training ground should of been on the way 5 years ago.

And the long-term lease - the ground is a dated facility that needs 3 new stands as a minimum. We are paying a large sum of money to rent the ground and then on top pay for the upkeep. Everyone keeps talking about a new stand. No funding is in place I believe. If a new stand did get built in the next 5 years, the rest of the ground will have weathered another 5 years.... a what point do look at upgrading the other stands?
I agree that they’ve seen better days, but the Yale and Uni ends can be refurbished if/when we move up the leagues.

With a new Kop we’d have a pretty tidy ground - good enough for up to championship level.

My worry is that now everyone is (probably rightly) so peeved at the trust board and the club board that we might just settle for ANYONE who isn’t them.

I don’t wanna be traipsing round gymkhanas again on a Saturday afternoon.

If there’s a bid hopefully it’s someone nice

Less so for the Uni Stand but both stands are beyond economical refurbishment to provide a venue for for years to come, and your grandchildren 😜

Funding for the kop is many years off, even more so with the impending recession, a financial contraction of which we’re unlikely to see again in our lifespans.

Reading the recent announcements on the Wrexham Gateway, I’m hopeful that we will see something happen soon.

I share your hope, but funding a football stand with public money is going to be way down the list of priorities. There’s a chance that football at our level may not exist for a prolonged period making financial support even less likely.

As much as I’d like to see our club prosper through the public purse, the recovery of the economy, public health spending, education, infrastructure etc should and quite rightly will take priority over football.

Club has HR department so can chase references. Not even Lindsay can try and shift the blame elsewhere
