Don't forget that in the past (for a lot longer than the Trust have been in charge) WFC has been run by successful local businessmen. These local businessmen have taken assets out of the club when times were good (after cup runs, sales of players) but failed to invest in the club when needed, e.g.to consolidate in a higher league and ran away when asked to put their directors bonds up when needed resulting in a fall through the divisions. The Trust were not in charge when WFC lost their FL status, it was Moss and Dickens (who incidentally went to watch Liverpool when we played at Hereford). It was Moss and Roberts who presided over the rape and plunder of ALL our assets, and made sure that the profits from our cup run that ended at Stoke went (allegedly) into Roberts' back pocket after they had left their trail of destruction behind. WST did not inherit a debt free club, quite the contrary. WFC was a basket case possibly trading illegally, which was turned around remarkably quickly. I agree ,that mistakes have been made and I didn't want Keates back at the club, but I am led to believe that a couple of appointments misled the board into their appointment after stating they didn't want the job. However if a wealthy philanthropist wants to take on the challenge I for one, am prepared to let them have a go, but I want the purchase fee given back to the Trust to hold in the event of a Tits-up situation, and yes I am wary of someone like Vaughan using a frontman to sneak in the back door, which is why I agree that the trust should be wary of suitors in fine silks.

So basically we have one asset, (a crumbling building on a lease). We certainly have no footballing assets anymore, no sell ons, nothing. The less said about the youth system the better, the less said about the training ground situation the better.

If we are not losing vast sums of money then I'd love to now where the Danny Ward money has gone, on the back of decent crowds and sales of the last bits of family silver.

Then we have the first team, RICA and the managerial merry go round which has seen us established as a mid table conference ( soon to be WPL) team full of Jonny Jouneyman that's not very pleasant.

Clubs who were once on our level have left us for dead. Wimbledon, Luton, Lincoln, Tranmere, Oxford, Grimsby, Bristol Rovers. Once tin pot clubs like Forest Green, Salford, Fleetwood and Burton, left us for dead. Brentford, Swansea, Wycombe, left us for dead. The list goes on. Meanwhile, were lining up Kings Lynn and buggering about in the Tunnocks Cup

Yet, after all this and more, Jones and Co still want to hold on to power, and with their last appointment are basically giving Wrexham fans who are in it for the right reasons ( or have been) the two fingered salute.

They should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves, and those that support them are not much better.

The scaremongering from Todd and RobG continues. 'Clubs likely to go bust' is commonly used to put fear into fans, which is ultimately to keep everything and everyone as is, essentially so the jobs for the boys brigade can stay where they are.

Mistakes have been made. For me the biggest ones were appointing Wilkin and Hughes. That doesn’t mean that I would want our club to stop being supporter owned. If there are people out there who want to get involved I’d like them to stand for election and work with our existing model.
This speaks volumes. Disappointed we haven't progressed on the pitch? Its a football club FFS.

After all these years the penny still hasn't dropped that this 'existing model' doesn't work? What will it take? To actually get relegated? I bet even then you still be clapping yourself into a climax.

Its these so called fans, that applaud and support failure that are killing the club slowly.

Todd has conveniently forgot to mention all the lies that have been told, the disgraceful treatment of the DSA (cat got your tongue 'Todd'), the loans that were needed to save the club and then hidden away, the WST leaks, the money wasted, the lack of accountability, etc etc etc.

Ignorance is bliss although with Todd and the other minions they have an agenda to protect and preserve those in charge.

Louis Theroux will be making a documentary on Lindsay, Todd and Pete coaches and their lager club clique soon, where no doubt more sordid and underhand goings on will be revealed.

The clubs likely to go bust under the current set up never mind the chance of someone else coming in and doing it.

Dream scenario is someone willing to come in with funds and a new board made of people with the right skills to push the club forward plus a new manager and coaches. Lincoln a few seasons back proved this can be done with an initial investment of 300K.

Its getting the right pieces into play and we aren't doing it. Much like on the pitch the club philosophy seems to be square pegs for round holes.

Great post. Hamilton, Moss and the WST board and supporters will go down in history as the people who tried to kill the club and the ones who unintentionally killed the club for their own personal gain.

the current ownership model must come to an end, it has been tried and tested and proved to not work, many had suspicions that things were not too rosy and were shouted down, the ones doing the shouting then are the ones who want the failing model to continue, it is time to let personal political preferences to one side for the sake of the football club, it is time to relinquish the desire to find details of mismanagement which i have my suspicions are still there but not generally known, forget it, just get rid, everyone sign non disclosure agreements that has to, and get rid
