I was told serious talks were going on, that a bid was put in and that the WST would be asking about changes to the constitution regarding ownership.

It's strange to quiz WST members without knowing a lot more considering many are staunchly against anything but 100% fan ownership as the survey was strongly leaning towards.

We've had lies before regarding being unable to afford to sack Gary Mills, but then took up a loan.

if there's no bid on the table and they don't know who they are. Then why now has a survey been sent out now when they also apparently get interest from time to time.

It's strange isn't it that the turmoil at the club has got worse since the return of the destroyer LJ

I have no idea if that’s true or not. It does make complete sense to me however that the WST has an exit strategy, as I can see at least three scenarios where it might be needed
- a genuine offer of very significant investment in equity (not loans)
- club finances become so weak that we could not continue to fund it
- a lack of suitable people with the required skills from within the membership to operate the club
That was the basis of my submission to the questionnaire, all very hypothetical but it would be good practice to have a strategy for these possible scenarios, to ensure the clubs continuity

There's a certain irony to all of these. The WST whisper campaign in full flow ahead of the elections

the statement "there are enquiries from time to time" does this not conflict with earlier statements off "there have been no enquiries"

This is another mystifying stance from the board. I think you have to be careful quoting a poll that attracted less than 250 votes and there is no guarantee that those voting were WST members.

So a broker has come forward and we have gone to the trouble of asking the membership about changing the constitution about facilitating a sale, without establishing who the bidders are first?

Unbelievable Jeff!

Third party act in this way. Usually in the property world.
