Fair play, he comes across as a lovely bloke and, of course, he WORKS HARD. It is funny how much he manages to wind up people on here, just by being himself. Definitely personifies the "we're happy as we are" element

Not sure why people see this as funny ? At 32 he is facing unemployment and yet he makes some nice comments about supporters and it is taken as him trying to fool the manager into awarding a new contract ! He just sounds enthusiastic to me as he always was on the pitch. I do not see him as a title winning player but he didn't ask to come here and was unlikely to refuse new contracts. The fact is he always tried so, blame the management if you wish but leave the individual alone.
As for Liverpool - worthy champions much as i dislike the fact that they draw too much support from N.Wales.

I don't get the bad mouthing Rutherford, yes he isn't good enough for a promotion team, and runs around in circles doing very little, but he doesn't sign himself, he don't force the cowboy managers to sign him, when he does play he doesn't hide.

He always gives his best it's just a shame he isn't good enough because if he had the talent to go with his effort he would be playing at a far higher level
He has not bad mouthed the club or the fans.

So give him some respect... It's the shit managers we have had who sign these players, not the players fault.
