There were a lot of WST Board members in the meeting.

Spencer gave probably most of the details, as the video will confirm when it comes along.
Lindsay chaired the meeting and gave some updates too.
Treasurer Brian Phillips provided some financial stuff.
Matthew Scott also contributed.
Pete did a bit too.
Bryan Still gave some info about fundraising (11 barriers sold for instance)
Also present were
James Harrison
Gavin Jones

Mark Williams internet has gone down so he could not participate.

And DLO Kerry Evans.

I'm sure I heard Pete say, towards the end, that Steve Lloyd has resigned already.
Former WST Board member Sarah was there too, for the Wrexham Rubies.

I think there were around 35 people online all told.

I think it was a general question asking about Grant's contract. Spencer only said it ran for 20/21, not when it started or was renewed.

WST Membership currently around 1200.

The Treasurer explained that the majority are renewed along with season tickets, obviously the club not being in a position to sell these has resulted in the massive, if temporary, drop.

Lindsay explained with regards voting for changes in the constitution:

For a resolution to change the constitution to pass it requires a 75% vote in favour of the change.
However the actual number of people required to vote in order for that vote to be valid is tiered according to the actual number of (adult voting) members the WST has.

From memory, for over 1000 members:

25% of the membership must have voted.

And 75% of that 25% must have voted in favour of any change.

So for instance, based on 1200 we currently have:
300 would need to vote.
225 would have to vote for the change.

For 3000 members:
750 would need to vote.
563 would need to vote for change.

For 3000 members:
750 would need to vote.
563 would need to vote for change.
So just 75 needed to block everything even if the turnout hurdle is reached - going to be very difficult to enact any democratic change

So you had the three Jones’ and Harris on your computer screen all at once ? It must have seemed like watching the Muppet Show.

I asked if any approach had been made to Glyndwr to either delay or stagger the lease payment due in September.

Spencer answered that in order to maintain the strong relationship the club and Glyndwr have in the Wrexham Gateway Project and in general he could not give a direct answer to that, only that the club were doing everything they can (to protect itself).

Sarah Smith Howard asked Pete why there 9 vacancies on the WST Board, but only 8 spaces announced, Pete said he could not comment yet, but it seemed to me that one of the the remaining 3 WST Board members may also be stepping down?

People pop onto your screen as they speak, so no.

We were all asked to mute our mics whilst presentations were given so as the message was clear and the screen did not jump about whenever someone decided to do the washing up and made a bit of noise.
It worked pretty well I think
